Position Summary
The procurement specialist II supports automotive center operations by ordering and maintaining accountability for consumable commodities and supplies used in the performance of vehicle fueling, maintenance and associated fleet management functions. Routine tasks include but are not limited to: 1) Monitoring and replenishing bulk fuel inventory, 2) Monitoring fuel card utilization and ordering fuel cards, as necessary, 3) Monitoring and replenishing tire inventory, 4) Monitoring and replenishing automotive bench stock (i.e. wheel weights, wire ties, shrink tubing, miscellaneous hardware, etc.), 5) associated reporting, recordkeeping and payment processing.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Technical knowledge of revenue, expense, matching, cost, and objectivity
  • Intermediate experience is MS Excel
  • Attention to Detail
  • Strong Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to use office tolls to research, process information, and measure outcomes and create reporting mechanisms for accounting functions

Monitor/support retail fuel transactions:

  • Support user PIN creation and communication
  • Order/distribute fuel cards
  • Reconcile VIN's in WEX against fleet management platform(s)
  • Maintain accounting/inventory of cards and chart-strings for accurate cost allocation
  • Follow up weekly NO FUEL list - resolve concerns

  • Order tires for inventory based on historical demand
  • Maintain inventory records and accountability
  • Post tires to repair orders
  • Facilitate delivery, pick-up, and casing return

Order automotive bench stock:

  • Monitor shop stock levels
  • Coordinate with automotive foreman regarding consumption and priority
  • Replenish storage locations

Order bulk fuel:

  • Create UGAMart requisition/purchase order based on historical use
  • Coordinate with garage attendants to monitor tank levels and determine order quantities
  • Work with fleet coordinator to receive and disburse bulk fuel
  • Maintain associated records
