Position Summary

The Oceaneering Ocean Technologies (OTECH) group is seeking a Materials Control Analyst to oversee Master Data Management (MDM) to enhance the capabilities of our ERP system in support of OTECH program execution. The Materials Control Analyst will ensure the Costpoint systems, including various domains and modules, reflect current, processed, and accurate information. The Materials Control Analyst will be involved with the populations, processing, accuracy of Costpoint Materials data, including but not limited to Bill of Materials (BOM) and item master details. The Materials Control Analyst by monitor, report on, and correct data to ensure system data integrity, quality, and consistency, benefiting both the program and the OTECH customer. The Materials Control Analyst communicates and coordinates within the Program team and within OTECH functional areas to provide guidance and recommendations regarding data-driven decisions related to product management and data processing. This will include working within other OTECH enterprise platforms such as PDM and 3DX. The Materials Control Analyst will coordinate Costpoint actions resulting from authorized PDM or 3DX sanctioned transaction, including ECN generation and incorporation, MBOM validations, and follow-up on open Costpoint activities. The Materials Control Analyst will work closely with Planning, Design Engineering, and Quality to translate design requirements. As needed, the Materials Control Analyst will support other system management activities in addition to requirements demand generation.


Duties And Responsibilities

The Material Control Analyst will execute the following:

  • Manage the data integrity and maintenance of Costpoint master data (Item Masters, Bills of Material, etc.) in accordance with master data standards and engineering input.
  • Implement processes and tools to cleanse, standardize, and validate master data. This includes identifying and correcting errors, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
  • Perform regular data audits and quality checks and report system data integrity variances to management as required.
  • Review engineering change order packages to ensure adherence to design control standards.
  • Maintain internal data governance ensuring data remains accurate and consistent
  • Identify and resolve issues related to material data within the MRP system.
  • Receive/review requirements for non-standard parts.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with supplier quality, engineering, quality, production and other support functions to gather data requirements and ensure data alignment with operational needs.
  • Responsible for training and developing other team members on industry standard practices.
  • Practice CI (Continuous Improvement) concepts to improve processes. Propose possible solutions to problems identified.
  • Help to develop and implement new process, procedures, and efficiency techniques as necessary.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience. 0 - 3 years of experience working with master data management, data governance, or in a related data-driven role, or activities or equivalent combination of education and experience/training.
  • Strong attention to detail, proficiency in ERP software and tools, and an understanding of data governance principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and database management.
  • Experience with project planning and execution.
  • Strong skillset applicable to organizational skills, time management, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, written comprehension, information ordering, active listening, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning.
  • Intermediate math, administration, and management skills.
  • Ability to write business correspondence and interact with others in a professional manner.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.

DESIRED:

  • Experience with ERP master data in a manufacturing environment.
  • Deltek Costpoint ERP and MRP system experience.
  • Ability to run reports, analyze data (including large data sets) and recognize opportunities for optimization.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.

We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. Annualized pay rate for this position : $68,000 - $91,250.
