We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Preventative Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall upkeep, safety, and appearance of the hotel by performing preventative maintenance, completing work orders, and supervising daily maintenance operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through well-maintained facilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:






    • Preventative Maintenance & Repairs




      • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments (e.g., "room care") to ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are in excellent condition.



      • Complete work orders, including but not limited to: replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs, patching vinyl, touching up paint, and other minor repairs to maintain product quality standards.



      • Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on electrical systems (e.g., air conditioning controls, lighting, televisions), plumbing fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, pipelines), and hotel equipment.





    • Major Equipment Assistance




      • Assist with routine and major repairs of hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, pool systems, HVAC units, and mechanical systems.



      • Maintain and operate power tools, hand tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.





    • Pool Maintenance




      • Service and maintain the hotel's pool, including testing and adjusting chemical levels, cleaning filters, and completing maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards.





    • Property Appearance & Curb Appeal




      • Maintain the building exterior and grounds, including landscaping, painting, and snow removal (if applicable), ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests.



      • Refurbish and repair furniture, fixtures, and finishes in guest rooms and public spaces.





    • Guest Service & Communication




      • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, questions, and concerns to ensure a positive guest experience.



      • Maintain clear and timely communication with management and other departments regarding maintenance status and needs.





    • Supervision & Teamwork




      • Lead and assist other maintenance team members in daily tasks and special projects.



      • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.





    • General Duties




      • Operate heavy machinery as needed.



      • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel needs.



      • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.








REQUIREMENTS:




  • Previous hotel maintenance or engineering experience preferred.



  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.



  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.



  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.



  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.



  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures and conditions.
