Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a PL/SQL Developer to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

As a PL/SQL Developer, you will play a key role in providing technical and operational support to the project in supporting system design, development, and implementation of our project and framework system components. You will have an opportunity to be hands-on with minimal supervision to deliver complex solutions and make significant contributions to project goals and planning efforts. Supporting PL/SQL and FHIR day-to-day activities. This role is a member of the development team and reports directly to the Development Manager. Good knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or other healthcare verticals.

**This position is remote within the United States but will support the State of Wyoming. Mountain Time Zone hours are preferred, but the schedule is flexible.

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as an individual contributor under minimal supervision, contributing to non-routine problem-solving, exercises independent judgment and initiative in performing non-routine duties and related problem-solving
  • Analyzes and studies system requirements and develops methods for problem-solving by producing complex flow charts/data flow diagrams and/or associated documents
  • Analyze and develop complex queries\PLSQL\Views using Oracle
  • Develops detailed, coding-level flowcharts, action diagrams, pseudo codes, and associated documents from high-level flowcharts, and codes assigned program segments using PL/SQL
  • Provides technical consultation in solving problems of design and reliability, and in maintaining the ability of the system
  • Maintains files, records, and operational data, and prepares periodic and special reports and other various documents pertaining to assignments
  • Designs solutions and leads discussions with application/program and product teams
  • Fully understands the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC), demonstrates strong knowledge of applications methodologies, best practices, and procedures, and applies them to projects to ensure that applications objectives are achieved
  • Participates in analyzing and resolving problems related FHIR errors and provide solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure the code written complies with the Company's standard and best practices and provide improvement feedback to developers
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field

  • 4+ years experience in designing and developing PLSQL applications on Oracle platforms

  • Experience with systems development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience in the healthcare industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
  • Excellent knowledge in Relational Databases preferably in Oracle and experience in developing complex queries\PLSQL\Views using Oracle
  • Experience with software and database architectural techniques and high-level design using UML or similar representational modeling and design techniques
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and collaborate with a variety of teams
  • Strong knowledge of version control and defect management tools like - SVN, Jira, GIT
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, Visio and other tools for data analysis and documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders, facilitating productive discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, a team-oriented mindset, and self-motivation
  • Knowledge of data modeling and relational database concepts
  • Knowledge of Restful API
  • Knowledge of configuring application code on-premise and cloud infrastructure (such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud, IBM cloud)
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies
