Job Overview
The Onsite Logistics Lead (Renton, WA) plays a critical role in the final stages of the laptop redeployment process, ensuring devices are tested for quality, properly tracked in inventory, and seamlessly reassigned to end users. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational execution with team guidance, inventory accuracy, and process improvement. Effective communication with operations management and leadership is essential.
- Testing & Quality Assurance (QA): Oversee laptop functionality checks, ensuring each redeployed device meets performance and compliance standards before release.
- Inventory Accuracy & Updates: Maintain precise, real-time records of redeployed assets, overseeing audits, cycle counts, and variance investigations to uphold inventory integrity.
- Reassignment & Deployment Oversight: Coordinate laptop distribution and deployment to end users, ensuring timely delivery, accurate documentation, and a positive end-user experience.
- Collaborate with management to coordinate and prioritize logistics operations aligned with performance targets.
- Monitor and report on service delivery trends, identifying risks and areas for improvement.
- Act as the primary escalation point for issues affecting logistics and deployment operations.
- Lead inbound shipment management and material requests to support site demands.
- Partner with regional and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and uphold service standards.
- Lead or support special projects, ensuring urgent requests are handled with accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate proactively regarding shortages or issues that impact operational goals.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Regularly required to lift, carry, or move laptops, monitors, and boxes up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of IT equipment and shipping materials.
- Ability to safely operate carts, pallet jacks, and related warehouse tools.
- This position is based onsite in Renton, WA within a warehouse environment with some office work.
- The warehouse environment may include variable temperatures depending on the season, concrete flooring, and moderate noise levels.
- Employees may be exposed to dust, cardboard, or packing materials during redeployment and shipping activities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in logistics, service delivery, or operations.
- Strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycle, particularly device testing, inventory control, and redeployment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive operational excellence.
- Experience with performance metrics, reporting, and operational compliance.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
