WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Finance Partner to global supply teams to build plans, ensure they are met and understand variances.

  • Involved in the end-to-end development of annual operating plans for Raw Materials including process flow, time line, scenario loading and financial consolidation.

  • Leads standard cost summary / inputs and alignment of key materials across regions.

  • Assist with the quarterly forecast processes with an emphasis on developing high quality forecasts with a detailed understanding of potential risks and opportunities, including maintaining a working forecasting model.

  • Tracks and analyzes performance against the financial plan, forecast and prior year. Works to identify root cause for shortfalls and partner with business on countermeasures.

  • Supports data collection and consolidation required to understand purchase price variances and material usage across all factories, understand market dynamics and impact to working capital optimization.

  • Supports the monthly close process and analyzes results to report to business partners.

  • Maintains a standard reporting package to communicate results to management and the leadership team. Summarizes key conclusions and recommends opportunities for improvement where appropriate.

  • Develops the tools to support analyzing the results and performance.

  • Find opportunities for improving financial processes and apply Lean tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those processes.

  • Owns financial overview to Capital investments, indirect purchases and operating expenses across the function.

This position is based in Blaine, MN, and our new facility will open in early 2026. Upon hire, onboarding and training will be held at our facility in Anoka, MN until the Blaine facility opens.

YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • 4+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Manufacturing or Corporate Finance.

  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with personnel at all organizational levels and establish sound relationships with co-workers, executives and field finance personnel.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Tableau and OneStream XF or similar financial reporting systems.

  • Strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility for work outcomes.

  • Must be flexible, organized and able to work under time constraints and deadlines.

  • Applies good analytical and problem-solving skills to complex financial scenarios using good judgment, fact-based reasoning, and knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards (IAS).

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
