JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State DuBois, located in DuBois, PA, is seeking a part-time Marketing and Communications Specialist for its Strategic Communications Department. The Marketing and Communications Specialist supports and manages activities to increase awareness of Penn State DuBois activities achievements and will work with faculty, staff, students, and vendors to complete projects. An appreciation for and dedication to working with diverse audiences is a must as this position supports and manages communications with key internal and external stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and the community at large. This is a part-time position, expected to work between 20-24 hours per week. The Specialist will create content for the campus website, news releases, social media, electronic newsletters, and other communications vehicles; take photographs; and assist in video creation. The Specialist will attend and support various campus events and may serve on campus committees. The Specialist will also assist with content for the campus website, monitoring and reporting analytics for various platforms, and creating marketing and communications materials. The successful candidate will be an excellent writer, editor, researcher, and interviewer who can develop strong working relationships across the campus. The ability to meet deadlines, produce accurate work and manage multiple projects is essential. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with one or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience for the Intermediate level. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or related field preferred. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
