POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, PMO to lead and develop a team of 4-6 Project Managers in delivering complex, high-visibility IT implementations and business initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, relationship builder, and proven leader with expertise in project governance, resource management, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a balance of strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to mentor and coach project management talent while driving successful project delivery across the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Project Managers to ensure consistent delivery of projects aligned with organizational goals. Oversee large-scale IT implementations and enterprise initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Establish and enforce PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices across the project portfolio. Partner with business leaders to identify and execute process optimization and business transformation opportunities. Drive change management strategies to support the adoption of new systems and processes across the enterprise. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, executive leadership, and business-facing teams. Collaborate with other PMOs across the organization to standardize practices, share lessons learned, and strengthen enterprise portfolio governance. Provide coaching, career development, and performance feedback to Project Managers. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for projects and programs under PMO governance. Oversee vendor management, including negotiation, relationship development, and performance monitoring. Champion the adoption of new technologies and tools that enhance project delivery, reporting, and resource management. Define and track KPIs to measure PMO effectiveness, project delivery success, and business value realization. Present project updates, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders and leadership teams. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across project teams and business units.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in project management, business, information technology, or a related field is required. Master's degree in project management, business, information technology, or a related field is preferred. 8+ years of progressive experience in Project Management. 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role in project management. PMP or other relevant project management certifications strongly preferred. Strong PMO background with experience implementing project governance frameworks. Demonstrated success managing large IT implementations and complex cross-functional projects. Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop project management professionals. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Experience managing budgets and financial oversight for large projects or programs. Proven vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
