We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Client Coverage to join our Asset Servicing/Archer team. This role is located in Boston, MA or New York City, NY. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: The sales professional is responsible for promoting Archer's products and services in partnership through inbound and outbound calling efforts. This person plays a fundamental role in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up and outbound cold call and emails.
- Close new sales and achieve annual sales quota
- Understand customer needs, business drivers and service requirements
- Manage all aspects of the sales process including prospecting, qualifying, and responding to RFPs/RFIs
- Generate proposals and internal cost analysis along with appropriate business line approvals
- Coordinate draft service agreements and other legal documents (e.g. NDAs, etc.)
- Solid command of Archer's product and services along with ability to demo platform
- Maintain and expand database of prospects within assigned territory (i.e. New Firm, New Channel, New Product, etc.)
- Perform routine updates to leads and opportunities in Salesforce CRM
- Conduct research for accounts, identify key players and influencers
- Collaborate with sales partners, operations, marketing and technology to build pipeline and close deals
- Expected travel approximately 50% or more.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- 5+ years overall experience and external sales role background is strongly preferred
- Focus on the highest level of customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external contacts.
- Understanding of investment terminology and securities processing
- Knowledge of the business & operational processes preferred to support the asset management business.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and react to change positively.
- Attention to detail and highly organized with excellent follow-up abilities.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office products with an ability to quickly learn new software applications, specifically proprietary systems.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
