Job Summary: |
This position offers the ability to work alongside and support highly skilled scientists and clinicians in the areas of clinical laboratory testing to facilitate successful organ transplants, and clinical and research related cell and gene therapies. Work includes lab information systems software and database support, creation and management of contingency systems to ensure no lapse in patient care. Creativity and research into IT solutions to optimize workflows, troubleshooting, and mentorship of up-and-coming IT staff in a fast paced, mentally engaging and supportive work environment is what can be expected in this role. Key Responsibilities:
Administration, maintenance, and validations of Microsoft SQL Server and Access databases and automated reporting systems. Collaborate with SOM IT to set up, configure and maintain virtual server performance, security, and uptime. Oversee and maintain ClinImmune's backup processes to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness, utilizing virtualization and containerization technologies. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software for individual and shared lab systems including end-user support and troubleshooting. Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to lab and IT operations including coordinating with software vendors and internal teams to design and implement advanced solutions for the ClinImmune HLA LIMS, SCPM (stem cell database), and future systems. Serve as primary IT contact between ClinImmune and client hospitals, CAP, ASHI, FDA and other regulatory agency inspectors. Supervise, train, and mentor ClinImmune IT Team.

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings upon completion of training and approval from supervisor. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Three (3) years of related professional level experience in Information Technology in a scientific, health care or academic environment.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using MS Access and/or MS SQL Server. Experience working in the area of virtual server support. Experience with Crystal Reports. Experience using MS Active Directory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills focused in the areas of IT support, desktop support, and database application support. Ability to identify and understanding technical errors/problems/malfunctions in a system and troubleshoot the issue.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $78,331 - $99,637. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
