Job summary

The Order Management Manager of Order Entry reports to the Order Management Senior Manager and leads a team of Order Management Specialists / Admins focused on accurate, compliant order capture. This role oversees the conversion of quotes into orders, ensures all required documentation and contractual compliance checks are completed, and drives process improvements to optimize the lead-to-order workflow.

What you will do

  • Coach, mentor, and performance-manage Order Management Specialists / Admins to achieve entry accuracy targets, compliance standards, and productivity goals.
  • Track order entry metrics (e.g., order creation volume, error rate, processing time), compile status and exception reports, and recommend workflow or automation enhancements to the Order Management Senior Manager.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor daily order entry activities-ensuring timely conversion of proposals and quotes into Sales Orders and Purchase Orders across systems.
  • Oversee performance of restricted-party screening at entry-review ordering and vendor documentation to validate eligibility and compliance before order submission.
  • Oversee tracking of intercompany transactions for applicable orders to maintain accurate financial intercompany flows.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex entry issues-partnering Sales, MDM, and Accounting teams to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process bottlenecks, contributing to technology rollouts, and updating training materials and standard operating procedures.

What we expect of you

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience in order management, sales operations, business administration, or a related field OR 9 years experience in order management, sales operations, business administration, or a related field AND 2 years management/leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and set expectations for a high-performing team.
  • Experience tracking key order entry metrics, compiling reports, and implementing process improvements based on data analysis.
  • Proficiency in overseeing daily operations related to quote-to-order conversion, order accuracy, and timely processing of sales and purchase orders.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements, including restricted-party screening and thorough contract/documentation checks.
  • Skilled in partnering with Sales, Master Data Management, and Accounting to resolve complex order entry issues and drive solutions.
  • Demonstrated initiative in identifying process bottlenecks, participating in technology rollouts, and updating training and procedure materials.
  • Competence in analyzing performance data to drive enhancements in service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Deep understanding of quote-to-order processes, queue management, order systems, and purchase order creation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, SPS, AS400, Zuora, Vision, Spark, CPQ, High Radius, Agiloft, ServiceNow, Rubi.com, Inscape, Cloud Health, and MS Office; adaptability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Ability to allocate resources and adapt plans in response to changing business needs and operational priorities.
  • Proven skill in leading resolution efforts for complex technical and operational challenges with a broader organizational impact.

Pay range: $ 109,100 - $ 152,732 depending on experience and skill set

Annual bonus target of 10% subject to terms and conditions of plan
