Human Resources Representative

Staffmark is hiring a Human Resources Representative to join a growing team in Lafayette! This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about employee engagement, compliance, and training.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage new hire offer letters and position change documentation
• Oversee onboarding processes, including I-9s, background checks, references, and employment verifications
• Conduct new hire orientations (in person and virtually via Zoom/Teams)
• Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and Excel
• Coordinate employee training sessions and travel arrangements
• Handle employee inquiries and resolve conflicts with professionalism
• Support offboarding and termination processes
• Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and Director

Qualifications

• Previous HR experience required (not entry-level)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of HR systems (UKG or ADP preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment
