Your Opportunity: Taylor Print Impressions a division of Taylor Corporation, is looking for a Print/Press Operator to join our team in Duluth, GA!

Your Shift:

  • 4x10 Shifts (M - Th); 2nd shift (2 pm - 12:30 am)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment, in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines; complete all paperwork necessary to follow the job through production
  • Read and interpret job orders to determine quantities to be printed, paper specifications, colors, and follow special printing instructions
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and/or gather correct materials needed
  • Load and unload paper stock and set up/load print files
  • Monitor and examine product for quality assurance; collect and inspect for color and copy samples during print runs to identify any adjustments needed
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines, as required, to reduce problems, maintain quality, and minimize costly repairs and downtime
  • Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Follow standard work methods and prescribed safety practices to ensure production is as efficient and safe, as possible

You Must Have:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to resolve technical issue and/or provide recommendations
  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and job tickets, along with follow directions
  • Basic computer skills (open, close, print file)
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and other forms of simple mathematical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to operator equipment to obtain proficiency, as measured through production and quality standards
  • Ability to distinguish colors

We Would Also Prefer:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) or work-related experience
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Press Feeder or three (3) years of previous experience in a production or manufacturing-related environment

Requirements Within This Position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)
