$14.50/hr.

Position Summary: Oversees the responsibilities of the other Quality Assurance employees during pre-operational activities. Works with sanitation employees, both internal and contracted, on getting equipment and lines released. Fills in for the supervisor as needed.

• Assists with the release of the plant for production activities.
• Verifies/checks pallets of raw materials for label verifications.
• Verifies/checks all boot rinse stations for acceptable ppm readings of chemical.
• Verifies that the necessary/applicable equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Responsible for monitoring all product attributes according to processing specifications.
• Responsible for monitoring and documenting applicable HACCP, GMP and SSOP requirements.
• Responsible for identifying and isolating questionable product.
• Oversees the checking of rat traps, bug lights, and pre-operational paperwork.
• Occasionally oversees the checking of raw material for foreign objects or material.
• Monitors compliance of GMPs, SSOP, and other Food Safety policies and guidelines.
• Assigns duties to QA Techs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
