Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a motivated and curious Project Management Intern to join our Operations Services team in Wichita, KS. As an intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to capital projects that support our fertilizer and methanol manufacturing facilities. You'll partner with experienced project managers and engineers to learn how large-scale industrial projects are scoped, planned, and executed.

This internship is designed to give you a broad view of project management in a dynamic industrial setting while developing your technical, business, and leadership skills.

The Operations Services team provides project management expertise across multiple KAES sites. We collaborate with engineers, plant personnel, and contractors to deliver safe, cost-effective, and value-driven projects. As an intern, you'll contribute to real projects while learning from a diverse group of professionals who are passionate about improving operations and building future talent.

What You Will Do

As an intern in this role, you will:

  • Support project managers in planning and coordinating small to mid-size capital improvement projects
  • Assist with developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans
  • Work with plant personnel, engineers, and contractors to gather project requirements and track progress
  • Help prepare presentations, reports, and updates for stakeholders
  • Gain exposure to multiple phases of the project life cycle-from concept through execution
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvement within the Operations Services team

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Enrolled in a degree or alternative program. (e.g., 4 year college program, 2 year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
  • Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2027.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in industrial operations, construction, or engineering.
  • Interest in project management, industrial operations, or engineering project execution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business teams and leadership to align priorities and build consensus.
  • Experience leading meetings to influence decisions, drive progress, and support successful project outcomes.
