Anticipated Hiring Range: $19.75 - $25.13 hourly
Full Pay Range: $19.75 - $30.50 hourly

Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

As the Program Services Representative, you will greet and direct customers to the ARIZONA@WORK - Maricopa County Workforce Services. This program is funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to assist customers in entering or re-entering education and the workforce. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about helping others achieve their educational and employment goals.

NOTE: This position has a Monday - Thursday, 8am - 7pm schedule (4x10) with Fridays off

We Require

  • Two years of experience performing office, administrative, or clerical duties that include customer service and data entry

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Post-secondary education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Three years of experience performing office, administrative, or clerical duties that include customer service and data entry

  • Intermediate skills in Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer

Job Contributions

  • Greets and directs customers, including job seekers, community members, and employers, to Workforce Services

  • Registers and verifies enrollment of customers in the Arizona Job Connection (AJC) system

  • Responds to in-person and telephonic inquiries and provides customers with community resource information

  • Schedules customer appointments/workshops, conference rooms, and classrooms for program needs

  • Helps customers with resource room computers, materials and completing paperwork and other documentation

  • Assists with program orientations and one-on-one sessions with customers

  • Supports community outreach activities to recruit participants who are not engaged in the program and educate them about the program's benefits

  • Maintains inventories, completes purchase requests for supplies, and prepares materials to distribute to customers

  • Performs data entry and report creation in multiple data management systems

  • Maintains accurate electronic and hard-copy records

  • Ensures all visitors sign in and out of the Career Development Centers

Working Conditions

  • Must successfully complete background check and fingerprint identification to secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

  • The position is primarily in an office environment; however, occasional travel will be required for meetings and assignments in various work locations
