JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Fuel Terminal Technician is to oversee day-to-day fuel storage and transfer operations at our facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations while providing leadership to tank farm personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Supervise tank farm operations, including fuel transfers, storage, and inventory management.
• Coordinate procurement of fuels with carriers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
• Lead and train operators in proper fuel handling, inspection, and maintenance procedures.
• Adhere to company control of work programs such and energy isolation and work permitting.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of fuel movements, inspections, and operational reports.
• Assist with emergency response and spill prevention protocols.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in fuel storage, terminal operations, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of fuel handling procedures, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.
• Leadership experience with the ability to train and oversee operational teams.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in varying arctic weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to 12-hour work shifts, including nights if required.
• Valid Driver's License.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience working on the North Slope with current NSTC preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee's ability to safely meet job standards. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Candidates must be able to comply with the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, successfully pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both urinalysis and hair testing, and meet the physical requirements of working in a remote location under arctic conditions. In addition, candidates will be required to pass a Fit-for-Duty Exam, complete a background check, and obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
