Job Summary and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly capable and results-driven Construction Project Manager to lead the nationwide initiative to relocate FAA tower lighting systems on approximately 1,500 sites across the United States. The systems will be moved from within existing equipment shelters to external configurations. This role is critical to ensuring the project is delivered with speed, precision, and quality, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Project Leadership & Oversight
- Drive the end-to-end execution of the FAA lighting system relocation project.
- Serve as the central point of coordination between client and contracted vendors.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with FAA, FCC, and internal regulatory requirements.
- Planning & Scoping
- Develop and validate comprehensive project scopes for each site.
- Perform technical and feasibility assessments in collaboration with engineering and field teams.
- Identify risks, resource requirements, and mitigation plans early in the project lifecycle.
- Hardware Management
- Oversee the ordering, inventory, and delivery logistics of required hardware and materials.
- Ensure alignment with national procurement and logistics teams to avoid delays.
- Construction Planning & Scheduling
- Create and manage detailed construction schedules across all regions.
- Coordinate site-level readiness with contractors and local stakeholders.
- Monitor daily progress and proactively resolve issues affecting timelines.
Site-Level Execution: - Manage and track site-specific planning, scheduling, and execution activities to
- ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project dashboards and tracking systems.
- Execution & Quality Control
- Manage vendor performance to ensure high-quality construction and installation services.
- Drive adherence to construction standards, safety protocols, and timeline commitments.
- Perform site-level tracking and maintain dashboards to report progress and issues.
- Close-Out & Documentation
- Ensure timely submission of complete close-out packages, including as-built documentation and photos.
- Confirm all site work is closed in systems of record and meets close-out acceptance criteria.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site wireless construction projects.
- Expertise in telecom infrastructure, especially FAA lighting systems or shelter-based power/equipment configurations.
- Exceptional project management, scheduling, and vendor coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentwith a strong sense of urgency.
- Experience with construction documentation, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong collaboration and communicationabilities to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external contractors.
- Proficiency with project management tools, scheduling software, and Excel-based tracking systems.
- Preferred Qualifications:
PMP or similar project management certification. Experience in working with FAA-licensed equipment or compliance-driven telecom projects.
