Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Review customer specifications to ensure requirements are included in shop work orders.
- Perform internal audits, independent of repair personnel, at critical points in the repair processes.
- Facilitate the implementation of continuous Improvement best practices across the facility.
- Ensure records are kept and maintained in accordance with the IPS Quality Assurance Program.
- Assess the thoroughness of documented information to provide evidence of quality performance.
- Collect and analyze quality performance data and provide regular summaries of quality performance metrics and activities.
- Generate presentations and conduct quarterly quality management reviews.
- Coordinate and facilitate customer quality audits.
- Participate in team meetings, risk assessments, and execution of facility and process improvement projects.
- Inspect the facility to detect existing or potential noncompliance and recommend corrective and preventive measures for preventing recurrence.
- Review contracts and specifications to ensure customer requirements are incorporated into the work planning.
- Generate motor inspection and repair reports to document and communicate compliance with internal and customer repair specifications.
- Crosstrain in other functional areas of the business to become familiar with departmental responsibilities and obstacles for implementation of continuous improvement practices and to provide support when needed.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite tools.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to be innovative and creative to recommend and implement a self-motivated, team-oriented attitude.
- Attentive and active listening skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, such as the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of internal and external management in a presentation setting.
- Experience balancing strategy and execution, ability to get 'hands-on' with business while understanding the processes needed to deliver results.
