Quality Assurance Inspector

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Review customer specifications to ensure requirements are included in shop work orders.
• Perform internal audits, independent of repair personnel, at critical points in the repair processes.
• Facilitate the implementation of continuous Improvement best practices across the facility.
• Ensure records are kept and maintained in accordance with the IPS Quality Assurance Program.
• Assess the thoroughness of documented information to provide evidence of quality performance.
• Collect and analyze quality performance data and provide regular summaries of quality performance metrics and activities.
• Generate presentations and conduct quarterly quality management reviews.
• Coordinate and facilitate customer quality audits.
• Participate in team meetings, risk assessments, and execution of facility and process improvement projects.
• Inspect the facility to detect existing or potential noncompliance and recommend corrective and preventive measures for preventing recurrence.
• Review contracts and specifications to ensure customer requirements are incorporated into the work planning.
• Generate motor inspection and repair reports to document and communicate compliance with internal and customer repair specifications.
• Crosstrain in other functional areas of the business to become familiar with departmental responsibilities and obstacles for implementation of continuous improvement practices and to provide support when needed.

• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite tools.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to be innovative and creative to recommend and implement a self-motivated, team-oriented attitude.
• Attentive and active listening skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, such as the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of internal and external management in a presentation setting.
• Experience balancing strategy and execution, ability to get 'hands-on' with business while understanding the processes needed to deliver results.
