Looking for a Buyer who will be able to provide delivery assurance in a fast-paced high matrixed environment. You will be supporting the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility. You will ensure that the day-to-day supply chain management activities such as placing purchase orders and managing suppliers ensuring they execute on quality and on-time delivery at cost to meet our financial goal. You will interact with multiple programs, departments and both domestic and international suppliers. In addition, you will play a key role in developing and managing the supplier relationship.

Position will be working onsite at our Foley AL facility. Relocation assistance is available.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate the procurement cycle from purchase request to payment of invoice
  • Identify, evaluate and setup new suppliers
  • Evaluate supplier quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
  • Align supplier schedules with facility needs
  • Obtain schedule and delivery confirmations from suppliers
  • Status purchase orders
  • Coordinate material needs, expedites, updates and change orders with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance
  • Conduct Supply Market Analysis
  • Ensure parts documentation is clear, accurate, and organized
  • Support strategic projects in support of facility/company goals
  • Create and present metrics and supporting reports to suppliers, peers, and managers
  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally when circumstances require
  • Performs other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:



  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
  • Beginner knowledge of supplier management
  • Beginner knowledge of purchasing process
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Bigger experience using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system

Preferred Qualifications



  • Knowledge of ERP system
  • Knowledge of purchasing process
  • Ability to negotiate, troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
  • Self-directed and action-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed
  • Able to communicate and presenting precise information to internal/external customers and leadership
  • Continuous Improvement process knowledge
  • Able read, write, speak & understand the English language
