JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

The Trust Relationship Manager 4 leads the administration and development of highly complex fiduciary relationships for affluent and high net worth clients. Serving as a subject matter expert and internal advisor, this role provides strategic guidance on trust and estate matters, oversees a team of trust professionals,
and contributes to business growth by strengthening client and professional relationships across the wealth management landscape.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and advise on a book of highly complex trust, estate, and fiduciary relationships, ensuring alignment with governing documents, fiduciary standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert on trust and estate matters for high net worth clients, resolving complex scenarios with minimal supervision.
  • Guide clients and beneficiaries through wealth transitions, fiduciary planning, and sensitive personal or financial matters.
  • Act as a lead resource and mentor to junior Relationship Managers and Trust Administrators; provide technical guidance, support, and coaching.
  • Represent the bank with attorneys, CPAs, advisors, and other professionals; act as a fiduciary leader in external engagements and governance forums.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, tax, real estate, and operations teams to deliver comprehensive and seamless client solutions.
  • Identify, pursue, and support new business opportunities by leveraging relationships with clients, centers of influence, and community engagement.
  • Participate in strategic planning, policy input, and risk mitigation activities at the regional or enterprise level.
  • Ensure the team's practices reflect evolving fiduciary law and wealth industry trends; lead by example in risk-conscious administration.
  • Support internal committees or initiatives focused on enhancing fiduciary services, associate development, or client experience.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred in business, finance, law, or a related discipline.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fiduciary relationship management, trust administration, or private client advisory for high-net-worth individuals.

  • CTFA, CFP, JD, or comparable advanced credential highly preferred.

  • Expert-level understanding of complex trust and estate strategies, tax planning, and fiduciary law.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and serve as a subject matter expert.

  • High emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and ability to manage sensitive client matter

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines

  • Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions

  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
