Main Duties & Responsibilities
This position REQUIRES experience as a Lead Operator
in a Plastic Injection Molding facility.
Position Summary:
This
position is for 1st Shift: Monday-Friday with some Saturdays, 7:30am-4pm.
The
Lead Operator supports the supervisor in the production area. This role
includes monitoring productivity issues, troubleshooting equipment and process
issues along with training and guiding machine operators. The Lead Operator is
also expected to perform all standard Operator duties as needed.
Specific Responsibilities:

Uphold and communicate the purpose, principles, and vision of Omega Plastics
and TriMas
-
Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, safety, and regulatory
requirements

Oversees workflow, including people, materials, and products, to meet
production schedules

Supports training and helps troubleshoot issues

Collaborates with internal teams to resolve problems
-
Acts as the subject matter expert for the production line and supports projects
as needed

Manages required paperwork for line startup and shutdown

Coordinates break schedules and supports machine operation during breaks

Other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or manager.
Essential Functions:
Work
performed in a manufacturing environment. Normal mobility to move around a
manufacturing environment, able to conduct work at a press and computer.
Frequently walks, stands, grips/grasps, bends/stoops, crouches, and lifts and
carries up to fifty-five (55) lbs.
This
role is required to be on-site 5-6 days at the Clinton Township,
MI location.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:

Previous plastic injection molding or manufacturing experience required

Previous experience working in an ISO controlled environment preferred

Ability to comprehend and follow visual, written, and verbal instructions

Ability to communicate well and work with a team
Compensation:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay,
the expected pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hour.
Compensation
can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications,
skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may
qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable
