The individual is to lead a team of Platinum Finance colleagues to ensure that daily financial operational activities are executed and delivered as per the standards and policies set by the company. The individual is able to interact with all levels of the business ranging from executive to customer. The individual is aligned with all Zoetis core competencies and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Supervise the daily/monthly/quarterly operational tasks of Platinum finance team members.
  • Act as the main point of contact for addressing any inquiries and questions related to financial operations.
  • Ensures adequate systems and procedures are in place to provide controls, safeguarding of assets and the efficient execution of financial activities
  • Maintain and Perform SOX Controls periodically
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Equine Finance Senior Manager
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Head of Platinum and Platinum GMS Site Lead for their reporting needs
  • Prepares financial reporting and provides ongoing analysis of risks and opportunities, as well as ad-hoc analysis
  • Work with different Area lead (Marketing, Sales, Client Experience, ECommerce, GMS, Logistics, and Dev team) to ensure the accuracy and integrity of business operations
  • Develop and Coordinate operational initiatives to achieve financial goals ( eg. Month End/Quarter End/Annual End Closing, LE, budgeting)
  • Develop objectives for the team.
  • Develop and Improve procedures for operational efficiency.
  • Proactive advocate for corporate accounting & compliance responsibilities.

Education:

  • University degree in accounting (preferred) or finance

Experience:

  • Minimum three years of experience in Accounting or Finance roles
  • Experience in the Equine Pharmaceutical and Nutritional industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)

Skills:

  • Strong analytical background with strategic thinking capabilities and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of accounting, internal controls, financial systems and processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Ability to multi-task, consistently meeting deadlines on multiple projects and activities
  • Work effectively in a team environment and in building collaborative relationships with peers and with other stakeholders
  • Strong ability to work under pressure
  • Strong ability to organize, and prioritize tasks with a good sense of time management
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in [California] Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $125,000
