Financial Management Analyst

Key Role:

Provide financial management and analytical support to a Military Service Headquarters organization. Support a DoD program office with programming, budgeting, execution, assessment, and auditing of funds received via Exchange of Notes (EON), and future funds received from international governments and agencies in support of the program office. Apply understanding of Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes to support client planning, current funds execution, and risk assessment, analyze budget submission across the program office and stakeholders, monitor and analyze current and prior year funds execution utilizing data from fiscal databases, and perform complex spreadsheet creation. Review financial documents to verify budgetary account codes, various data elements, and dollar amounts, including fiscal database transaction processing, data entry, data extraction and manipulation, document creation and generation, document preservation, and version control. Assist with assessment and audit requirements as needed. Develop client-ready deliverables such as briefings and reports, for a variety of audiences across the DoD, including deliverables for the highest leadership levels. Support various working groups and meetings, as required, including bi-lateral finance reviews with foreign partners. Organize meetings and conference calls, generate meeting minutes, and track implementation of agreed-to items.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with the DoD
  • Experience with DoD budget systems such as the Program Budget Information System (PBIS) and Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), Marine Corps Program Review Information Management Enterprise (MCPRIME), and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with international partners
  • Knowledge of the DoD's POM processes
  • Ability to provide on-site support as required
  • Ability to be a self-starter capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, analyzing financial data, and prioritizing tasks
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Finance, or Accounting field

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps
  • Experience with the DoD's policies in the Indo-Pacific region
  • Experience with EON data and processes and computation of prior year calculations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • DoD FM Certification Levels, Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) Certifications

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
