Position Title: Fabricator Wage: $17.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am - 3:00pm (Monday - Thursday), 4 Hours on Friday Are your skills not being fully utilized? This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply today! Fabricator Responsibilities: - Operate various machines such as CNC machines, punch presses, laser cutters and other fabrication equipment - Read technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions to fabricate parts to exact specifications - Perform inspections to verify dimensions and quality of fabricated parts, ensuring they meet company and industry standards - Manage raw materials and ensure that they are prepared, organized, and stored correctly for fabrication processes - Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot minor issues to avoid downtime - Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any hazards immediately - Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, including waste reduction and process optimization Requirements for Fabricator: - High School Diploma or GED; vocational training in manufacturing or machining preferred - At least one year of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment; experience with CNC or laser equipment is a plus - Familiarity with blueprint reading, machine operation and basic troubleshooting skills - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods - Comfortable working in a noisy, fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail - Good communication skills - Ability to work independently or as part of a team QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
