Position Title: Commercial HVAC Service Technician

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Commercial HVAC Service Technician at a company in Longmont, CO. This is a direct hire position. Apply now! Commercial HVAC Service Technician Responsibilities: - Respond to heavy workload of service calls in a professional manner - Communicate effectively with customers to explain to cause of their problem and the remedy, if a problem has not been repaired, an explanation of the situation and recommended next steps - Follow and utilize troubleshooting guides to identify problems in a short period of time - Check system operations and safety and limit controls before leaving job locations - Ensure customers questions/concerns have been addressed before leaving the work site - Use proper tools and instruments while troubleshooting - Incorporate solution techniques to assist other service representatives and help resolve issues and customer problems - Schedule arrival and departure with customers - Determine priorities based on a call schedule, responding to inadvertent interruptions, carrying proper tools and materials and scheduling vehicle maintenance - Complete required paperwork - Keep supervisor and manager informed of new developments, changes, or customer complaints - Complete service reports daily: obtain customer signature on all service reports - Sign up for memberships and technical organizations to improve knowledge and skills - Keep technical knowledge current regarding equipment and concepts - Search out and read applicable manuals Requirements for Commercial HVAC Service Technician: - Able to troubleshoot HVAC components with built-up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, controls systems, boilers, air handling systems, refrigeration and controls - Universally EPA Certified - At least five years of experience with maintenance of commercial HVAC systems - Valid driver's license - Able to lift 75 lbs from floor to waist with possible repetition - Able to lift 50 lbs from shoulder to overhead - Able to work with both arms above head for a minimum of 5 minutes - Able to carry 50 lbs for a distance of 25 feet - Able to push or pull 125 for a distance of 150 feet - Able to climb stairs and ladders - Able to perform work while in varying physical positions, such as lying on side, in a kneeling position, while standing on a ladder - Able to access rooftop units and work at heights and in some cases tight or enclosed spaces - Able to wear a respirator if conditions require Benefits: - Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision plus employer contributions - 401K - Matched - Paid Time Off - Paid Holidays - Employee Assistance Program - Tuition Reimbursement - Gym and Fitness Reimbursement - RTD Benefits and Taxi Vouchers - Company Events and Awards - Relocation Assistance Application Deadline: None, Always Accepting Candidates IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
