Job Description: Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team Grand Prairie, Texas In this role you will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the organization's physical facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and efficient environment for all occupants. Meet the Team: Our Facility team oversees building operations and maintenance, real estate and property management, aircraft fueling operations, soft services, strategic planning of site development opportunities and management of CAPEX expenditure projects while contributing to the overall efficiency, safety and sustainability of the facility. Your Challenges: Building Operations and Maintenance: 40%
Management oversight of the AHI Grand Prairie and DFW Warehouse locations. Prepares and manages department OPex budget including optimization potentials. Oversees the implementation of policies, procedures and programs that will assure efficient buildings and facilities. Optimize resource planning and allocations needed to support maintenance operations. Ensure facilities maintenance activities are achieved through preventative and predictive measures and documented through electronic work order tracking system(s). Drive corporate sustainability goals through strategic planning, continuous improvement, and monitoring of key assets. Has responsibility for department KPI performance in achieving the organizational and corporate strategic objectives. Supports day to day facility activities and coordinates with both internal and external stakeholders. Ensures on time delivery of soft service contractual obligations and routine monitoring of performance, cost and quality. (e.g. Janitorial, waste management, pest control, landscaping, space utilization/management, food services and event support). Manage company fleet assets including owned and leased equipment and vehicles.
Site Development / CAPEX Planning: 30%
Lead site development and CAPEX investment initiatives through planning and execution of project scopes. Manage multi-functional teams on major CAPEX initiatives. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Work with organizational leadership to create strategic plans regarding building and infrastructure improvements. Maintain a 5 year CAPEX investment plan in alignment with corporate Finance teams. Lead and participate in routine project meetings related to site projects. Foster Continuous improvement within the facilities project management team.
Real Estate and Property Management: 10%
Oversee terms and conditions of real estate contracts. Participate in company lease negotiations ensuring the direction of the business strategies are achieved. Ensure accurate asset inventory management through routine auditing per the AHI property management procedures. Maintain facilities space allocation in conjunction with Finance, as the business environment requires. Manage embedded tenant responsibilities related to subleased spaces.
Aircraft Fueling Operations: 10%
Manage site aircraft fueling operational requirements. Ensure fueling teams are properly trained and meet Environmental, Health and Safety aspects. Participate in hazard identification and reporting through continuous improvement awareness. Drive fueling procedures ensuring appropriate reports are captured, documented and archived as required. Ensure fueling is delivered in a timely manner and meet quality standards. Manage fuel assets to ensure appropriate preventative maintenance are in place and end of life planning.
People Management: 10%
Serve as a key member of the emergency and mishap response efforts, ensuring business continuity across the company. Manage the facilities' team annual performance goals and conduct individual periodic reviews. Leads a facilities team through positivity and motivation while empowering employees to become effective in their roles through development planning. Drive Airbus Leadership Values through effective leadership skills with integrity and ethical practices.
Your Boarding Pass:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field. 8+ years experience in Facilities and Project Management in a corporate environment, third party service or consultant. 5+ years strong technical and strategic project management skills. Strong task prioritization and organization experience. Professional certificates highly desirable (e.g. PE, CFM, FMP, PMP) Maintain CAPEX expenditure plan in alignment with business transformation. Manage comprehensive lease agreements and tenant obligations. Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
Preferred Education/Skills:
Master's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field. Basic CAFT/AutoCAD skills Professional certificates highly desirable (e.g. PE, CFM, FMP, PMP)
Physical Requirements:
Onsite or remote: 90% onsite and 10 % remote. Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs at least several times a month. Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs at least several times a month. Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools at least several times a month. Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site. Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
