Job Description

We are seeking anexperiencedMaintenance Supervisor to work at our plant in Charlotte, NC. As part of your job you will haveto complete all maintenance functions including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, while promoting and practicing safety at all times, and contributing to the continuous improvement of plant equipment by finding ways to eliminate unscheduled downtime and improve efficiency. You will be responsible for:

  • Supervise and coordinatemaintenance activities through Planned Maintenance methodologies and maintains records of planned and completed maintenance.
  • Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Estimates costs of personnel, parts, and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance.Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Installing, programing, and troubleshooting electrical systems including PLC, and motor controls
  • Inspecting/maintaining records of planned and completed maintenance through CMMS.
  • Directing training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures
  • Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years college or technical school; licensed or Certified industrial electrician
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience, preferably 5 years
  • Demonstrate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic aptitude, welding and fabrication
  • Possess excellent communication and math skills
  • Have workingknowledge of MS Excel, Power Point, Word
  • Carryingout instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrams or schematics
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds and work above 6' on ladder or elevated lift.

*Preferred candidate would have a 2 year degree and 5 years of Supervisory experience.

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Working knowledge of FMECA, FTA, and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • Industrial safety experience
  • NFPA Regulations and National Electric Codes knowledge
  • Environmental waste regulations knowledge
