Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities Team Leadership:
- Providing guidance, support, and motivation to team members, fostering a productive work environment based on the Company Values of Collaboration, Transparency, and Inspiration
- Drive individual and team performance through the established Performance Management System (PMS)
- Recognize and celebrate accomplishments, goals/objectives, etc.
- Will manage purchased direct parts
- Ability to Lead and manage a Team up to 10 employees
Operational Management:
- Managing daily activities within the area of responsibility, ensuring smooth workflows and timely execution of tasks
- Develop and monitor annual budget and spend
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, acquiring necessary and timely information, and monitoring performance
- Conduct supplier program reviews and supplier visits to insure demand alignment
Inventory Management:
- Ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing costs and waste
Logistics Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Logistics Organization on the movement of goods, including part prioritization to ensure efficient delivery of material to the site and work areas
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyzing data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) - On time part delivery, on time supplier delivery, part shortages (focus on Category 3 and 5), Kit fill rate, Lines of Balance (LOB), etc.
Process Improvement:
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency within the supply chain
- Thinking outside the box to achieve quantum performance leaps
Problem Solving:
- Addressing and resolving issues that may arise in the supply chain, such as delays, disruptions, or quality issues
- Develop advance warning signals to mitigate potential issues
- Master Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) process
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Working closely with other departments including operations, program, quality, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective coordination
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in as a Supply Chain Professional and/or Management experience in a production environment
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices: This includes logistics, procurement, inventory management, and demand planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers, team members, and other stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions
- Leadership and team management skills: Ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve common goals
- Negotiation and contract management skills: Ability to negotiate favorable outcomes and terms with suppliers
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools: Experience with supply chain management systems, inventory management software, and data analysis tools
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Experience working with multiple cross functional groups
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience presenting to and interacting with all levels of the organization
- Ability to effect change
- Knowledge of MRP systems, SAP preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant course of study MBA or Master's Degree
- Knowledge/experience with manufacturing and manufacturing processes
- APICS, CPIM, CSCP or other industry certification
- Governance and Compliance background including experience with AS9100 or other external audits.
- Experience in Aerospace
