Field Service Representative
Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Field Service Representative to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

*This position is contingent on a contract award. It will begin with training at our Manassas, VA facility, followed by full-time deployment to customer sites in Europe, with temporary assignments in Africa and/or Middle East. *

-Primary Trainer for the customer's team of operators with varied experience levels.
-Support mission planning as required.
-Provide OJT while overseeing aircraft operations, provide guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
-Perform as the onsite SME for airframe and powerplant maintenance.
-Oversee all maintenance actions by customers to ensure the safety of aircraft operations.
-Track the repairs plan to include but not limited to hours to next major inspection, and status any maintenance.
-Provide guidance and recommendations to the customer in managing the on-site Spares rotation pool.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations processes.
-Coordinate with the customer lead on systems repair parts and spares.
-Assist customer in performing troubleshooting, testing and critical measurements to confirm malfunction or defectiveness of suspect parts.
-Assist customers in preparing documentation for both received parts and turn in parts when requested.
-Ensure parts are serviceable upon receipt by assisting the customer to inspect replacement parts ensuring the CoC is not discarded and maintained in records.
-Contributed to the planning and execution of the Customer Support/Integrated Product Sustainment (IPS) process with the goal of continuously improving the quality of the services provided for increased customer satisfaction.
-Present capabilities briefing as needed in support of customer requirements.
-Provide updates as necessary to operational manual and training documentation.
-Participate in internal training and recurrency exercises on a regular basis between customer activities.
-Assist in facilitating future sales orders with participation in demonstration events and customer engagement.

Minimum Requirements

-Must be a US Person
-Experienced with customer support of various classes of UAVs both commercial and defense.
-Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Typically - Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
-Previous experience of being deployed at remote locations interfacing with Customer POCs.
-Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately interface with all levels of employees, including senior management and senior military and civilian customers, contractors, and aircrew.
-Demonstrated ability to work in a customer facing role and as a collaborative member of a diverse team.

Preferred Requirements

-Experience utilizing Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) application.
-(5) years' UAV operational experience and two (2) years with DoD.
-Part 107 certified.

Physical Requirements

-Will need to start and work out of the Manassas, VA facility to train, and then deploy.
-Position is full time on-site at customer location in Europe, with temporary deployments to Africa and/or Middle East.
-Work under austere conditions for extended periods of time.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $61,000.00 to $108,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $72,000.00 to $128,000.00
