Could you be the VIE - Deputy Procurement Project Manager we're looking for?

Your future role

The purpose of this position is to manage the overall procurement goals and objectives in regard to quality, on time delivery, cost and customer requirements.

We'll look to you for:



  • Manages and coordinates change requests and associated activities in coordination with all stakeholders in the Project.
  • Ensures that project needs are properly communicated to the supplier, supports internal stakeholders to get optimized functional requirements, challenges new gaps compared to Project Budgets.
  • Track Procurement performance in project and issue action plan in case of deviation
  • Perform review of Purchase requisitions for Procurement and secure Purchase Orders placed on time
  • Review Supplier contracts and manage Suppliers QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery)performances with the Buyers / Local Commodity + Global commodity management to achieve Project performance
  • Analyzes risks and sets appropriate mitigation plan
  • Track Procurement performance in project and issue action plan in case of deviation
  • Challenge global Procurement (Commodity Management) to secure project execution and profitability in escalation phase
  • Applies & supports Alstom sourcing rules, process & tools
  • Periodic sessions to present analysis of data to the Project and auditor if required
  • Provide necessary support to Project Controllers on financial topics
  • Financial data analysis and preparation for presentations
  • Provide audit support to project controllers or Finance Project Managers (FPM)

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Experience or understanding of procurement, sourcing, financial analysis, or audit
  • Knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory
  • Familiarity with ERP tools like SAP (an asset)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders and present results effectively
  • Team player with an international mindset
  • Fluent in English - Bilingual will be an asset (English & French)
