Position Overview

The Analyst, Operations Analytics is responsible for executing the division data strategy that includes organizing and maintaining existing data, identifying, and integrating new data sources, analyzing, and reporting. This role will provide business partners with data insights and analytics to inform business decisions.

This is a hybrid position located in Madison, WI.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Build and maintain analysis, models, or dashboards to support process optimization, forecasting, capacity planning, economic optimization, and performance management processes.
  • Analyze company data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuously improve reporting and tracking mechanisms (tools and processes) to support effective, accurate data analysis.
  • Work closely with business partners to ensure prompt and timely reporting to senior leadership.
  • Support fact-based decision-making and measurement of operational effectiveness (i.e., new process operating as designed) and/or economics (i.e., ROI) of company initiatives.
  • Work with key stakeholders to assist in evaluating the economic and/or operational impact of new products and/or strategies.
  • Effectively compile and communicate findings to leadership or stakeholders verbally, visually, and in writing.
  • Provide high quality and timely analytical support for projects, strategic initiatives, business development proposals, and other investments.
  • Support cross-functional cooperation and building strong working relationships across business unit/operating teams.
  • Independent and objective thinking to properly evaluate, communicate, educate, influence, and gain cooperation in reaching consensus, decisions, and action.
  • Convey a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure; results oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills, business intuition, and ability to build consensus across functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to operate in a matrixed cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
  • Adaptable, open to change, and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.
  • Ability to travel 5% of working time away from work location. May include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other field related to the essential duties.
  • 2+ years of relevant business analytics experience.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and/or Python, including writing simple queries, filtering data, and joining tables
  • Basic knowledge with at least one data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Six-Sigma.
  • Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience in a Data Analytics function.

Salary Range:

$74,000.00 - $122,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in 650 Forward Dr - Operations on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
