Are you a skilled machinist with a passion for precision? Staffmark is seeking a Manual Surface and Mill Grinder to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Montebello, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in grinding and milling who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Pay: $22/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Responsibilities: Set up and operate manual surface grinders and milling machines Grind and finish metal parts to tight tolerances and specified surface finishes Interpret blueprints, job layouts, and technical drawings Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) to ensure accuracy Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain quality Perform routine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized Follow all safety standards and procedures Work independently while meeting productivity and quality expectations Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) 2-5 years of experience with manual surface grinders and milling machines Ability to read blueprints and work to tight tolerances (0.001") Skilled in selecting proper tools, speeds, and feeds Familiar with steel, tool steel, and aluminum materials Strong focus on precision, safety, and quality Experience in toolroom, mold, or die work is a plus Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in a fast-paced environment Why You'll Love This Job: We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your health, financial goals, and work-life balance.
