Summary Job Description: Stroke Program Coordinator Full Time I First Shift Diagnostic and Imaging I Lexington, Ky Neuro diagnostics specializes in the performance of diagnostic neurological procedures across the continuum of life for both our inpatient and outpatient populations. Services include routing and continuous electroencephalograms, intraoperative neural monitoring, evoked potential studies, electromyography, nerve conduction studies, and myelography. Our team is a very experienced team with on-site clinical expertise and collaboration. Responsibilities:
- Stroke Program Coordinator oversees the Stroke Program to ensure compliance with national standards and continuous improvement in care delivery.
- Working closely with the Medical Director, stroke nurse navigators, and hospital leaders, this role guides stroke care processes and ensures the program maintains
- Strong knowledge of stroke program standards and certification processes.
- Effective communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
- Neuro-Science Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, advancing clinical excellence, and coordinating interdisciplinary stroke care across the organization.
- Leading the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of stroke care protocols and processes.
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission and CMS.
- Reviewing clinical data and outcomes for all stroke patients and using findings to drive quality improvement.
- Coordinating stroke program meetings, maintaining documentation, and preparing reports.
- Collaborating with providers and staff across multiple departments to align stroke care with clinical guidelines.
- Supporting outreach, education, and growth strategies to strengthen the stroke care network.
- Conducting patient and family visits to ensure care quality and program alignment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Current Kentucky or Compact State RN license required.
- Five years of clinical experience.
- Prefer 5 years of clinical experience working with neuro and/or stroke patients.
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
- Must obtain MSN within two years of hire.
- Strong knowledge of stroke program standards and certification processes.
- Effective communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
