Job Description:

Student Nursing Assistant- PRN

Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients considering the special needs of pediatric and geriatric patients when indicated, assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse of the team/and or unit.

Job Duties:

• Provides activities of daily living such as personal hygiene and vital signs, lifting and turning patient; providing water.
• Routine procedures based on scope of practice outlined in skills checklist including enemas, application of appliances of heat and cold, sitz baths, and specimen collections.
• Documentation of patient care in EMR based on scope of practice

Requirements:

• Must be a high school student age 16 or older and enrolled in a medical career and technical education program Certified Nursing Assistant.

Preferred Requirement:

• Successful completion of an approved Aide Training Program is preferred.
