Salary Range: $80- $130k

Security Requirements

Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years. Public Trust cannot be granted without meeting the residency requirement.

Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance (moderate risk), including a soft credit check and criminal background check. Please refer to the criteria listed in 5 CFR 731.202 to understand the Public Trust suitability requirements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI/ML Engineer in a Full Stack Engineering environment to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for developing data modeling and artificial intelligence solutions to integrate with our application suite providing support to the financial sector of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). The successful candidate will be a part of a development team with a focus on building scalable and intelligent solutions. The candidate will need to be able to collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and internal developers at multiple levels.

Relevant Experience

At least 2+ years of experience creating artificial intelligence systems and algorithms for AI/ML development. The position requires 2+ years of involvement in software development and experience in collaborating on software development projects. The successful candidate must have at least 2+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL/PGSQL. FAA Experience is preferred but not required.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related, and/or a logical assignment for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models that integrate seamlessly with enterprise level software platforms.
  • Build and integrate AI-driven solutions into business processes and participate in the full software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and systems architects to embed AI functionality into existing and new applications.
  • Ability to work and communicate with stakeholders and other developers to troubleshoot and improve existing solutions
  • Perform diagnostic tests and develop debugging procedures.
  • Documenting processes and maintaining software development with tools.
  • Experience with relational databases and structured data sets.
  • Experience with AWS - EC2, RDS, EBS, VPC is a plus
  • Experience with Business Case Analysis is a plus

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science or Math.

Master's degree is a plus and may count as additional years of experience.

Skills Requirements

  • Attention to detail, strong time management skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in several software technologies areas:
  • In-depth knowledge of machine learning frameworks
  • Familiarity with data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
  • Familiarity with NodeJS, PL/PGSQL, Python, Angular, TypeScript
  • Visual Studio, or other integrated design environment (IDE) experience (VS Code, etc...)
  • Intermediate proficiency in Software Configuration Management techniques and tools (GIT, Bitbucket, etc...).
  • Able to work in a team of developers to build production quality applications.
  • Experience with Relational Databases and to include writing SQL/PGSQL
