Our customer is seeking an IT manager on a contract to hire basis to manage day to day IT operations, service delivery and performance while being an active participant in user support and new technology initiatives. This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day IT operations, providing internal technical support, and helping ensure that systems and infrastructure remain secure, reliable, and compliant with industry standards. This role also involves contributing to system improvements, leading IT staff, and supporting the integration of new or upgraded platforms that align with evolving business needs. This opportunity is hybrid requiring 2-3 days on-site in the Baltimore or Washington DC offices.
-Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for configurations, hardware/software upgrades, employee onboarding and off boarding, desktop/network support. -Manage and assist with application and user support, including troubleshooting and resolving application issues. Ensures reported issues are promptly addressed and resolved. -Manage organizational security; enforce security policies and best practices to safeguard the company's IT infrastructure and data and regularly assess and enhance security measure to mitigate risks. -Maintain and oversee relationships with internal and external infrastructure providers to ensure reliability and performance of server environments. -Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that contracts, service level agreements, and deliverables are met. Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations as needed to ensure timely and cost-effective services. Oversee MS 365, Atlassian (JIRA and Confluence), Entra/Entra ID, Intune MDM, Other outside vendors. -Identify issues or weaknesses in existing IT systems and propose effective solutions. -Research and evaluate new technologies to determine potential benefits and alignment with business objectives. -Hire, train, and manage IT operations and support staff, fostering continuous professional development. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
