JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for two part-time teaching assistants for SCM 404 in the fall 2025 semester. The successful candidate is expected to work 10 hours per week through the regular academic calendar. However, the weekly workload may vary depending on assignment due dates and grading needs.

Job Duties

  • Grade assignments and provide timely, accurate feedback to students
  • Hold regular office hours to assist students with questions about course content and assignments
  • Help prepare study guides to support exam preparation
  • Assist in maintaining the course's CANVAS site
  • Support other course-related tasks as assigned by faculty supervisor

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Current Penn State student in their 6th semester or higher
  • Enrolled in the Supply Chain and Information Systems major or similar program
  • Successfully completed SCM 404 at Penn State
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Compensation

The starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
