We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Advisor IT Systems within our IT Well Life Cycle based in Houston, Texas. Essential Job Duties:
- Maintaining the vision of how the product(s) develops
- Continuously engaging and communicating with business stakeholders and technical development teams.
- Partner with the business and IT to deploy application enhancements that will improve the user experience.
- Fostering a climate that supports relationship building and collaboration between business and IT
- Gathering business requirements
- Creating and maintaining a Product Backlog
- Prioritization of the Product Backlog
- Writing and managing detailed user stories/features/epics that align with the Agile SDLC
- Release Management - Define phases and release dates for new product releases.
- Track work progress, releases, and product development
- Develop strong customer relationships with the business users to identify opportunities for better work experience.
Qualifications - External Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other relevant discipline or 5 or more years of relevant IT experience
- 5 years of Oil & Gas Upstream operations experience
- 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience
- Experience as a Scrum Product Owner
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to negotiate
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
- Proficient in Agile Project Management methodology
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Business Intelligence Tools such as PowerBI and Spotfire
- Ability to transform business processes into technical solutions
- Experience with custom developed software tools
- Must be able to plan and prioritize daily tasks with excellent organizational skills including accurate record keeping and proper documentation
- Very strong Customer/Stakeholder focus
- Agile project management certification, such as CSM, CSPO, etc.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of the Well Lifecycle
