DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Within this role, you will report directly to Legal Office Administrator 1 (LOA1) of the WC Division in addition to being assigned work by the Legal Office Administrator 2, Deputy Chief Counsel or Division attorneys. Work includes typing, formatting, revising, and proofreading legal documents for both Assistant and Outside Counsel. This position organizes, maintains, and manages both electronic and hard copy records of files, ensuring files are complete and current. Communication is key as you will answer phone calls, direct calls to the appropriate person, and take messages according to office procedure. You will be responsible for utilizing the Workers' Compensation Automation and Integration System (WCAIS) and Unified Judicial System (UJS) to view, file, print, make payments, track litigation, issue subpoenas, perform services, and any other functions required in the operation of the office. Other duties to include but not limited to:
- Regularly updating and maintaining calendars for attorneys
- Scheduling meetings as requested
- Contacting court, counsel, clients and others to obtain or relay information
- Interacting with UEGF Outside Counsel and WC Bureau staff in scheduling quarterly status review meetings and preparing and distributing status reports for those meetings
- Coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, four days in the office and one teleworking (anticipated). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Legal Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of responsible clerical, investigative or enforcement work including one year of legal clerical support experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
