Job Description Summary:

The Senior Logistics Assistant is responsible for all aspects of routing, documenting and coordinating shipments to customers, carriers and/or various corporate departments. Ensure incoming materials are properly routed. Monitors the flow of materials and parts between departments to meet all scheduled commitments.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
* Researches and files claims against carriers for losses, damages and/or overcharges.
* Audits freight bills.
* Ships material to customers, and ensures compliance to Federal regulations.
* Coordinates and directs import/export requirements.
* Documents processes and makes recommendations for improvements.
* Performs yearly audits, supporting annual classified hardware inventory per government requirement.
* Provides work leadership and mentoring to lower level employees.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Strong critical and analytical thinking, good judgment, and prioritizing skills.
* Demonstrates understanding of security concepts and practices.
* Recognize, acknowledge, respect and effectively interact with people.

Education
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree preferred.

Experience
3-5 years experience in military supply, logistics or traffic analysis.

Additional Job Description:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with classified inventory control.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Material Resource Planning.
  • Experience with team leadership is a plus.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is

$28.00 - $47.60

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
