Hourly Pay Range:

$37.85 - $58.67 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am -4:30pm
  • Primarily remote work, occasional onsite meetings

Job Summary:

The Sharepoint Developer/Programmer is considered a subject matter expert, involved with all phases of software development from design to implementation to post implementation problem solving. This position is easily able to code, tests, debugs and documents program applications specific to their team. May be required to develop application designs, devise or modify procedures to solve system software or user problems and prepare detailed specifications. This position may be required to mentor peers and provide educational/informational sessions to improve workflows, troubleshooting or system design pertaining to their team.

Candidates should be proficient in planning discovery activities, mapping business processes, eliciting requirements, and writing user stories with the goal to build scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience

    What you will do:

    SharePoint Administration:

    • Administering and maintaining SharePoint Online sites, site collections, and associated services.
    • Managing user permissions, access controls, and security protocols.
    • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal functionality.
    • Implementing and maintaining SharePoint workflows, document libraries, and other collaboration tools.
    • Managing site content, permissions, security, governance, migrations, and upgrades.
    • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and best practices.
    • Providing end-user training and support.

    SharePoint Development:

    • Developing custom SharePoint solutions, including web parts, workflows, forms, and automated processes.
    • Utilizing technologies like JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and PowerShell to build custom features and functionalities.
    • Integrating SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services, such as Teams and OneDrive.
    • Developing and maintaining complex forms and workflows for automated business processes.
    • Designing and developing custom SharePoint solutions based on business requirements.
    • Performing unit and end-to-end testing for SharePoint applications.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Collaborating with IT teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and support.
    • Developing and enforcing best practices for SharePoint usage, governance, and data security.
    • Planning and executing migration of existing content to the SharePoint platform.
    • Staying current with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
    • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues.

    What you will need:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Experience: Several years of experience in a SharePoint administration role (2-5+ years).
    • Experience in enterprise-level SharePoint applications.
    • Experience with both on-premises and SharePoint Online environments.
    • Unique or Preferred Skills:
    • Proficiency in SharePoint Online administration, including site creation, permissions management, and security configurations.
    • Experience with SharePoint architecture and farm administration.
    • Strong understanding of Active Directory, SQL Server, and Microsoft 365 integration.
    • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and management.
    • Familiarity with SharePoint service applications (Search, Managed Metadata, etc.).
    • Understanding of SharePoint security best practices and governance frameworks.
    • Experience with SharePoint migrations and upgrades.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team.
