Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven HR Manager to lead the human resources function at our manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for overseeing workforce management, labor relations, compliance, employee engagement, and HR policies to ensure a productive and safe work environment. The HR Manager will collaborate with plant leadership to drive operational excellence through effective people strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition



  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to ensure the plant is staffed with skilled talent.
  • Partner with plant leadership to assess workforce needs and forecast hiring requirements.
  • Oversee onboarding and training programs for new hires to ensure seamless integration.


Employee Relations & Labor Management



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a positive work culture through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with union representatives (if applicable) and negotiate labor agreements as needed.
  • Implement strategies to improve retention and reduce turnover.


Compliance & Safety



  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HR audits.
  • Collaborate with the Safety team to enforce workplace health and safety policies.


Performance Management & Training



  • Oversee performance evaluation processes and facilitate continuous feedback.
  • Identify training and development needs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning within the plant.


Compensation & Benefits Administration



  • Manage payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave administration.
  • Ensure employees understand and utilize available benefits effectively.
  • Monitor wage trends and recommend competitive compensation structures.



Qualifications & Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, OSHA regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling union negotiations and labor relations (if applicable).
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
