This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Austin, TX office. Job Summary The Senior Software Engineer drives the design, development, and maintenance of the Imprivata Customer and Vendor PAS, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. With deep technical expertise, this role will drive best practices in coding, architecture, and agile development. Their role also includes code reviews, technical planning, and contributing to strategic technology recommendations. Imprivata Customer Privileged Access Management (PAS) and Vendor Privileged Access Management offer a highly available and performant connectivity framework that uses SSH (secure shell) to create a connectivity platform for remote support. The appliance also offers advanced auditing capabilities and centralized management for remote access. Our product is mission-critical to our customers, and our success depends on our ability to evolve our product to satisfy new customers while improving stability and maintaining security and quality. Duties and Responsibilities Improve product quality and performance in alignment with best practices. Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems to fulfill product needs. Debug production issues across multiple layers on a diverse set of platforms and environments. Work with engineers and other contributors across the company to build new features. Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes. Responsible for extending, expanding, and integrating the latest changes an developments in the platforms our customers use. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. Ensure software meets both functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, security, reliability). Other duties as assigned and required Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience developing and supporting complex, enterprise-level software systems with sound data-analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Java or C#, and JavaScript/TypeScript, with involved experience using frameworks like React and Next.js. Solid knowledge of data structures, multi-threading, SOLID practices, ORMs, and systemsengineering concepts including testing, security, and observability. Skilled in building and integrating REST APIs, with a solid grasp of network protocols such as SSH and advanced capabilities like reverse port forwarding. Effective communicator and collaborative team player with experience mentoring others andworking with distributed teams. Capable of translating requirements into scalable features and driving complex projects tocompletion. This position offers a total compensation range of $ $151,800.00 - $161,800.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
