Business Integration Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting continuous process improvement efforts to help drive targeted growth and exceptional client/employee experience within Veritex Community Bank's verticals including Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, Credit Cards, Special Assets, Credit, and Treasury.

The Business Integration Manager, in partnership with LOB, Credit and Operational leadership, will assist in the design, oversee, and implement processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely delivery of operational efficiencies. This professional will communicate with line of business managers and officers to promote efficient and consistent workflow and establish positive working relationships across the organization and with clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Build strong relationship with internal partners (LOB, Credit, Operations, Risk, Finance) and serve as a change agent and influencer for igniting improved department interplay
  • Digital and innovative mindset with the ability to balance between business strategy, technology strategy, change management, and the context of the business operating environment
  • Assists in the delivery of initiatives for process improvements, business driven technology solutions, and talent optimization
  • Optimize operational efficiency across business operations and service delivery
  • Remove manual controls, introduce collaboration, identify prime use cases for RPA/AI, and accelerate transformation of operational processes
  • Partner with Credit, Risk, and Compliance teams to reshape risk frameworks and infuse a culture of risk control focused on aligning and managing risk mitigation efforts
  • Partners with business line to address business and technology needs and/or deficiencies involving process, products, and technology
  • Value all colleagues as accountable, responsible, consulted, and informed
  • Focus on the customer experience to uncover insights and drive capabilities to maximize revenue opportunities and greater customer engagement
  • Key contributor for mergers and acquisitions
  • Understands the Bank's overall risk appetite and how the specific department and individual job responsibilities align with the effective management of Bank risk.

  • Experience working directly with business units as a collaborator and partner identifying strategic improvements to create positive business impact and outcomes


  • Ability to speak business and technology, connecting the dots for key stakeholders on both sides of the aisle
  • Proven ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with internal partners at all levels within the organization

  • Assist with vendor management activities with assigned vendors for the business areas supported including, but not limited to upgrades, enhancements, implementations, client impacts, vendor oversight and management
  • Assists in researching process and/or technical related incidents and issues, including conducting detailed root cause analysis to avoid further impacts and decrease the risk of recurring issues


  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership when resolving issues


  • Participating team member in M&A activity to ensure process mapping, data integration, and data conversion activities are completed efficiently and expeditiously


  • Strong understanding of advanced functions within Excel including macros, pivot tables, and conditional formatting to analyze and interpret data into meaningful information
  • 5+ years of experience at a bank, financial institution, private lender, mortgage company or real estate company
  • Community and/or Commercial banking experience is preferred
