Description

Summary:

The Janitor keeps rooms throughout the building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleans and dries Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by operating industrial washer and dryer.
  • Inspects PPE prior to wash to determine if replacement is needed.
  • Notifies maintenance workers of equipment malfunctions.
  • Cleans and polishes building fixtures and trim.
  • Cleans and sanitizes conference rooms, lab areas, break rooms, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, kitchens, and other work areas.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, vacuums, and polishes floor.
  • Washes windows, walls, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replenishes bathroom and break room supplies.
  • Prunes and waters indoor plants.
  • Cleans parking lot in the Summer
  • Maintains Janitorial cleaning records.
  • Monitorsbreak room and cleaning supplies and places monthly order for replenishments.
  • Cleans up areas contaminated with bodily fluids according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.

Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of$19.35 to$20.81.Swing shift differential - $.50 per hour added to wage

Minimum Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience providing janitorial service in a food production facility.
