Job Description:
The Associate/Senior Human Resources Business Partner supports and/or consults with departmental leadership within an assigned area in the implementation, administration, and coordination of all Human Resources programs, guidelines and policies. The role assists with effective use of people and achieve short- and long-term objectives of the Company. In addition, drives culture improvement initiatives, supports employee relations, employment actions and compensation and benefits policies to establish ensure legal compliance. They will collaborate with leadership to drive employee engagement and culture as well as support workforce initiatives and change.
Responsibilities:
- Culture and Engagement: Assists in initiatives to foster a best place to work culture and mindset.
- Employee Engagement: Support the design and implementation of employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Operational Support: Assist in addressing operational, talent and talent life cycle-related issues, including change management and organizational development.
- Talent Management: Assist in the development and coordination of talent management strategies, including succession planning, talent reviews and leadership development programs.
- HR Solutions: Translate business strategies into HR solutions that enable teams to meet strategic objectives.
- Employee Advocacy: Provide a secure environment for employees to voice concerns and serve as an advocate for both employer/ leadership and employees.
- Disciplinary Actions: As needed to support the Employee Relations manager, assist in conducting claims investigations, making recommendations for disciplinary actions and performance management as necessary.
- Performance Management Process: Support the performance management process, including training on the system PMP functionality, setting of KRA's, coaching leaders on conducting sound evaluations and providing feedback and development plans.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure HR-related policies are maintained, communicated, interpreted properly and adhered to.
- Support HR Generalists: Provide guidance and support to HR Generalists and HR Coordinators as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
HRBP/Senior HR Business Partner: (In addition to above):
- As HR strategy partner and DEI advocate, takes a lead role to ensure the facility is continuously working towards a best place to work culture and mindset.
- Partners with area leadership to proactively design and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Partners with Learning & Development, as well as leadership, to address operational, talent and talent life cycle-related issues, including change management, organizational development, talent growth, development and coaching.
- Work with functional leaders to understand their business units to troubleshoot, problem solve and strategize the people strategy to ensure that the business is capitalizing on their biggest asset, the employees.
- Proactively translate the group's business strategies into HR solutions that best enable the team to meet its strategic objectives. Owner and driver of assigned groups annual processes including: Headcount & Budgeting, Performance Management Process, Merit and VPP cycles.
- Provides a secure environment for all levels of employees to verbalize concerns.
- Serves as an advocate for the employer/leadership and employee while ensuring disciplinary actions are properly implemented and defensible.
- Coordinates the defence for internal or external claims of disparate or inappropriate treatment.
- Manages all legal documentation, including employee immigration.
- Supervises, coaches and mentors other HR team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- SHRM-CP, PHR certification desired.
- Minimum 3 years directly related progressive HR experience required for Assoc HRBP/Minimum of 5 years for HRBP.
- Supervisor experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding Employment Law required.
- HRIS experience required (PeopleSoft and/or ADP preferred)
- Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience preferred.
- FDA experience desired.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage conflict at all levels in the organization.
- Problem Solving skills and the ability to work independently required
Senior HR Business Partner: (In addition to above):
- Minimum 10 years directly related progressive HR experience required.
- Accountability - the HR Business Partner receives analysis, diagnosis, and recommendations from the HR staff, reviews and/or modifies recommendations
Shift: Weekdays
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.
Associate Human Resources Business Partner-$77,968.80 - $114,400 annually
Human Resources Business Partner: $84,000 - $139,700
Sr. Human Resources Business Partner- $105,000 - $167,200 annually
