JOB PURPOSE

To support PEO Front Office in the generation, processing, routing and maintenance of Ship Change Documents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY


  • Maintain Ship Change Document (SCD) metrics data points, such as submission dates, alt types, review timelines, common errors, for completion of ad-hoc metrics requests.
  • Provide technical instruction and guidance regarding SCD processes: Including database operation, SCD completion guidance, the review process, approval timeline and typical setbacks, and its relationship to the overall installation process.
  • Assist program offices in accurately completing the SCD forms with associated CBA for NDE submission of alterations, Engineering Changes, Field Changes, and Temporary alterations.
  • Review SCDs for NDE-EP submission in accordance with the NMP Management and Operations Manual (NMP-MOM) and customer-driven requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies, correct, and resubmit SCDs returned by the Technical Assessment Team, CBA reviewer, and Resource Sponsor for additional comments.
  • Collect data and provide user feedback via meetings and conversations with key personnel involved with ongoing NMP SCD development and review procedures.
  • Interface between various NAVSEA agencies and the NAVWAR PMWs, ISEAs, SPAWAR PEO C4I, Planning Yards and SSC SD Ship Sup personnel relative to ongoing SHIPALT design issues.
  • Provide Estimated Completion Dates of pending SCDs for installation planning purposes and metrics briefings.
  • Create and update SCD ID and Alteration Records within the SPIDER database and the database requirements within NDE.Net
  • Support Advanced Planning and Execution, including comparison of planned installations indicated on the CBA and Advanced Consolidated Fielding Plan (ACFP) to current CNO avail schedules to scheduled jobs in SPIDER, ensuring plans and schedules align.
  • Gather SCD and fielding plan data, including maturity, accuracy against the current schedules, and estimated completion dates for use in the advanced planners' monthly risk assessment meeting.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

Required:


  • High School Diploma
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individuals must be able to maintain the required security clearance/eligibility for continued employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Job Located at a U.S. Government Facility


Preferred:


  • Some college or BA/BS degree


EXPERIENCE

Required:


  • Two (2) years' experience working in a DoD, Military, or government agency environment..


Preferred:


  • Experience with Navy Modernization Process (NMP) and Navy Data Environment-Entitled Process (NDE-EP) as applicable to SCD development, management, review and approval requirements.
