Cash Application Supervisor

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cash Applications Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cash applications team, ensuring timely accurate posting of tenant payments. The role also thoroughly reviews cash payment entries before posting them to the general ledger, ensuring accurate reflection of payments on the tenant accounts. Additionally, the role involves performing daily reconciliations to confirm that all incoming cash has been properly recorded.

What You Will Do

• Team Leadership & Oversight

Supervise and guide the cash applications team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations, including review and posting of cash receipts and resolution of outstanding issues.

• Reconciliation & Reporting

Reconcile daily bank balances with the General Ledger, monitor A/R aging, perform tenant account reconciliations, and ensure timely posting or deletion of open batches in the ERP system.

• Communication & Issue Resolution

Manage the Cash Applications inbox, coordinate with Property Management on payment application, research missing payments, and support special projects as needed.

ABOUT YOU

Skills & Experience

• Associates degree in accounting or business preferred.

• 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or cash applications required

• Experience in high volume, multi-entity environment

• Knowledge of JD Edwards a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related products.

• Familiarity with, and eagerness to explore and integrate, emerging technologies (e.g. AI and blockchain etc.) to drive innovation and continuous learning.
