ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Retail Leasing is responsible for developing and executing the leasing strategy for a portfolio of retail assets in our award-winning master planned communities. This role will lead lease negotiations, cultivate tenant relationships, and drive occupancy and financial performance in alignment with ownership objectives.

What You Will Do

• Lead all leasing activities across assigned retail assets.

• Develop and implement strategic merchandising plans for each asset.

• Source, negotiate, and close deals with national, regional, and local tenants.

• Maintain deep knowledge of market trends, competitive set, and tenant activity.

• Collaborate with internal teams including development, construction, legal, and property management to align leasing efforts with asset and project goals.

• Prepare and present leasing updates, pipeline reports, and revenue forecasts to senior leadership and investors.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers, retailers, and industry stakeholders.

• Oversee lease renewals, relocations, and terminations to maximize asset value.

• Represent the company at industry conferences and networking events.

ABOUT YOU

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field.

• 7+ years of retail leasing experience, ideally within a real estate investment, REIT, or development environment.

• Proven track record in executing leases with high-quality retail tenants.

• Strong negotiation, financial acumen, and legal understanding of lease documents.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to travel as required.
